Day 1: Trying Something New

With this round of new diet I am relying solely on my smart phone. I will be using four different apps that are FREE from the Android Market.
These apps are:

&*** Daily Cardio Workout
&*** Fooducate
&*** My Fitness Pal
&*** Sleep Bot Tracker Log

Here they are in more detail and what I hope to get out of them.

&*** Daily Cardio Workout ***&

What I hope to get out of it: Well I am at a stay at home mom and my husband has the luxury to have the car all day at work. Needless to say, I dont get out alot. So with this app I hope to be about to do a minimal workout in home that my daughter will also be able to get into. With this app you have the option of a 5/7.5/10 minute workout where they show you a short clip of a movement and count you down to the next one. With this very short workout method I hope to achieve an effectinve tone to my diet and also raide my heart rate. Tomorrow is when I will be reviewing the App to the fullest for tomorrow will be my first day using it.

What I hope to get out of it: Well this app is a very interesting one that I have not stumbled across before on g kl;hi;ugi8pgulygyiyeither the iPhone or the Android. Needless to say Im very glad I did. With this handy dandy app I can scan any bar-code in the grocery store or my pantry and see through the BS advertising. This will be very useful to me in my days to come and trying to lose weight.

I ran an in home test with my Nutrigrain Cereal Bars. The Apple Cinnamon kind. It was an eye opener. Kind of scary actually. Lets just say I wont be buying them again though as good as they are. It was very educational and informative giving me facts I wouldn't have even thought about or known to look up. Also it warned me about a controversial ingredient that hasn't been proven to be healthy for the human body. Scary. I definitely look forward to using this app on products to come.

I do believe this is the app im the most excited about. This app take the cake in the most versatile and beneficial one. It automatically gives me my caloric budget for the day and it gives me the added bonus of logging all the food I have consumed through out the day. I love how super easy it is to look up anything that I have eaten right then and there and it takes it away from my caloric total. It also gives me the ability to log my workouts as well and automatically adds those calories back to the total im aloud to consume for the day. Im very excited to be using this app for the next month

This one im worried about. Its a great App. I just dont sleep that much and sleep that well. I will have to review this more more after a week of testing. hopefully with all of the Apps looming over me I will be more self aware of how im treating my body. More to come on this one.

My goal for the whole blog: I hope to stick with this everyday for a whole month. every app, every entry, every benefit. Wish me luck for this is a very daunting task ahead of me.

Lets dust this blog off

So I have decided to restart my health blog in order to keep track of myself again. Lately I have been feeling lazy and depressed. So I figured that if I focused my efforts onto something productive I can get myself out of this funk and lose the 10 pounds I've regained in the past month.
a more detailed post will be written tonight after I put my daughter to bed. Or if Im lucky, during her nap. Diet
